8/1: Sunday at Dad and Kelly's house

Two Sundays a month, we go to my dad and step-mom's house in Rochelle to visit for the afternoon and stay for dinner. It's a great time, especially in summer.

Here are a couple pictures. Top: Girls play tea party. Bottom: Iris plays Candy Land with Kelly while Lily models her new 'do.

What we ate today:
Breakfast:
Soaked oatmeal with blueberries
Scrambled eggs

Lunch:
Leftover plate for lunch. The kids think these little dabs of leftovers are fun. We save money and waste less food.

Olives, leftover potato salad, leftover sliced tomatoes, olives, carrots from our CSA at Erehwon Farm, and hummus.

Apricot for Lily, plum for Iris from the Aurora Farmers Market.

Snacks:
Raisins with unsweetened coconut chips
Guacamole and hummus with chips and crackers in Rochelle
Raspberries

Dinner:
Chicken Fajitas
Refried Beans
Spanish Rice
Cupcakes for dessert
